I spent over a decade in social work and child protection. I’ve sat in case conferences, met children who have been harmed, and assessed people who pose a risk to children. I’ve watched systems fail. Not through lack of effort or intention, but because the infrastructure underneath them was never built to hold.
When I moved into digital safeguarding, I saw the same patterns. Platforms with extensive policies but no clear escalation. Trust and Safety teams inheriting risk that had compounded long before it reached them. Leadership asking “are we compliant?” when the real question was “would this hold under pressure?”
But the pattern that troubled me most was this: risk was being assessed at the point of crisis. When harm had already occurred. Not when risk first entered the system.
That’s why I founded Libran Global Safeguarding. Because safeguarding is an infrastructure challenge, not a policy exercise. Because most consultants are selling reassurance, and organisations deserve clarity instead.
How We Work
Systems, Not Policies
We look at how decisions are actually made, not what documentation says. Policy tells you what an organisation intends. Architecture tells you what it does.
Honest Assessment
We tell you what we find, not what you want to hear. If the picture isn’t good, you need to know that. Clarity over reassurance, every time.
Defined Scope
We define scope clearly before any engagement begins and we stick to it. No scope creep, no extended timelines, no gradual expansion.
Clean Exit
We leave when the work is done. Every engagement is designed so that the organisation owns the outcome. We do not create dependency.
